WATCH: Momy Levy Tackles Queen’s “Somebody To Love”, Accompanied by the Haifa Symphony Orchestra

It’s been a little while since we’ve heard from Momy Levy, an artist I’ve long admired and enjoyed.

For those who may not recognize the name, Momy had a hit album in 2004 called “HipSoul” – combining hip hop and soul music along with some very special guests like Subliminal, Gali Atari (Momy’s aunt), Muki and others. You can hear the entire album on Spotify below:

He released a second album – “Personal Import” – in 2010. Ever since, Momy’s been keeping busy on the music scene. He’s starred in tribute concerts for Stevie Wonder and Queen, and currently tours throughout Israel with rapper Tedross presenting “Nofel V’kam” – a musical history of hip/hop in Israel and the world.

Well, now he’s back with songs from Queen. Along with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, he’s starring in a tribute concert, singing the songs of the iconic musical group. It’s part of a special fundraising evening for Bnai Zion Medical Center in Haifa. At the final rehearsal, Momy took out his phone and started recording…and posted the above rehearsal clip to Facebook and Instagram.

If you enjoyed Momy’s video, you’ll also love this clip from 2008 of Momy performing the song in concert.

Momy Levy is a fantastic singer who deserves to be heard far and wide. Hoping to hear much more from Momy real soon!
