“Bassa Sababa”: Netta Barzilai Releases A New Song …and It’s As Odd As You’d Expect

Netta Barzilai: Bassa Sababa

Eurovision 2018 winner Netta Barzilai is finally out with her long-awaited follow-up to “Toy”, the winning song from last year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

It’s VERY pink. And VERY Netta.

The new song, out this morning, is called “Bassa Sababa”. In the music video, Netta’s groom-to-be leaves her at the altar, and Netta decides she’s not going down without a fight. Long story short, Netta catches up with him in a pink car made of chewing gum…then morphs into a pink rhinoceros…then begins shooting pink gumballs at him. And then he drowns in a sea of pink liquid.

Sounds odd? Sure. But it’s Netta. 🙂

In an interview with “At” magazine in Israel, Netta explained that, at age 6, her family moved to Nigeria. While there, Netta fell in love with rhinos.

It all makes sense now, right?

BTW, if you haven’t checked lately, “Toy” has been viewed nearly 106 million times on YouTube. Not bad for a girl who makes chicken noises, huh?

As we get closer to the selection of this year’s Israeli Eurovision representative, it’s nice to see last year’s winner continue to advance in her international music career. We’re rooting for you, Netta!

The song was Amazing. Anything she does is amazing and I can see how multicultural she is, because she communicates in many levels while she is being fun all the time. I am in Iran and.my two little ones dance to her “Toy” with much excitement. 🙂 This is just the begining of a Legend. Love and Peace from Tehran.
