Top 10 Reasons to join our Musical Tour of Israel

Only 200 Days Until the Trip of a Lifetime!

Registrations are rolling in for our musical tour of Israel, August 4-14! Have you registered? By all accounts, this incredible trip will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for any music fan!

Why? Glad you asked. Here are 10 reasons why this is the Israel tour you NEED to be part of!

1. Unforgettable concerts.

Danny (Sanderson), Gidi (Gov), & Friends perform at Hutzot HaYotzer in 2017

Imagine sitting under the stars on a warm summer night, singing your lungs out with thousands of Israelis. Plain and simple, summer is the BEST time for concerts and festivals in Israel. Our trip coincides with Hutzot HaYotzer, the annual arts and crafts festival in Jerusalem, featuring big-name concerts every single evening. We’ll see unforgettable shows nearly every night of the tour, all over the State of Israel…and you’re sure to savor every exciting moment.

2. Hanging with celebs.

How’d you like to chat with the guys behind this mega video?

Ever dream of spending quality time with your favorite Israeli musical celebrities? Then this tour is a dream come true! You’ll have the chance to chat with Ishay Ribo, take pictures with The Shalva Band, ask Yonina about their rise to fame on YouTube, sit for a Q&A with Momy Levy, discuss why you love Koolulam with its founders…and so much more (subject to availability). Imagine the photos you’ll post on social media!

3. Touring Israel’s biggest radio stations.

Shlomo Artzi with Hadar Marks on Galgalatz…exactly 24 hours before Mairov and Josh visited the station

How does a song make it onto the air in Israel? How does radio play a role in Israeli society? What’s it like to interview Arik Einstein? We’ll tour the facilities of two of Israel’s biggest radio stations, and meet with two VERY popular DJs: Hadar Marks of Galgalatz and Dori Ben-Zeev of Kan 88. You’ll never listen to Israeli radio the same way again!

4. Seeing a show at the Caesarea Amphitheater.

Shlomo Artzi performs in Caesarea

Shlomo Artzi likes to call Caesarea “the center of the universe”. By far, it’s his favorite place to play. Why? There’s just something magical about listening to contemporary Israeli music under the stats at this ancient theater. When you get to play Caesarea, you know you’ve MADE IT as an artist in Israeli music. While it’s way too early to know who will perform that night, you can be sure it will be an unforgettable experience.

5. Shabbat in Jerusalem.

Kabbalat Shabbat at First Station

Israel’s capital city is the best place in the world to spend Shabbat..and we’ve prepared the ultimate musical experience. Before Shabbat begins, we’ll join a unique, secular. musical Kabbalat Shabbat event at Jerusalem’s Tachana Rishona. Then, we’ll head to the Western Wall for a more traditional Kabbalat Shabbat experience with singing, dancing, and joy – followed by Shabbat dinner at the hotel. The next day, activities include a walking tour of the Christian Quarter in the Old City, a camp-like Israeli singalong in the hotel, a musical Havdalah service, and so much more. This will be a Shabbat to remember!

6. Experience Israeli culture like never before.

Tel Aviv Graffiti Tour

A tasting tour of the Machane Yehuda shuk. A visit to Jerusalem’s Jewish Music Museum. A graffiti tour of Tel Aviv. A musical lesson in co-existence in Nazareth. These are just a few of the exciting opportunities that await you throughout your whirlwind tour of our homeland!

7. LIVE from Israel…it’s Israel Hour Radio!

Israel Hour Radio on MyIsraeliMusic.com

We’ve been privileged to broadcast from Israel in the past…but never quite like this! Our official 25th anniversary celebration will take place LIVE from Israel on Sunday, August 9th…and YOU’RE INVITED! Mairov and Josh will share personal reflections of their 25 years on the radio, and you can be sure there will be plenty of special guests and surprises. Best of all, tour participants will be a major part of the show – so be sure to get a front row seat!

8. Israeli dance fans, rejoice!

Folk Dancing on the Beach!

We know how many of you LOVE Israeli dancing. For some of you, it’s how you found out about our show in the first place! We’ve included a number of stops you’re going to love – like a visit to “Dance Israel” in Jerusalem, and of course, a chance to dance like a local on the Tel Aviv Boardwalk! Imagine how jealous your Israeli dance friends will be when they see the photos! 🙂

9. Connecting with Mairov and Josh.

We may not be the world’s foremost experts on Israeli music, but we’ve been showcasing Israeli culture on the radio for a LONG time…25 years, to be exact. Mairov and Josh will join you for every stop on the tour, sharing their unique perspectives every step of the way. Don’t miss this exclusive opportunity to join the inner circle of Israel Hour Radio, and become a member of the family!

10. Explore our homeland with others who share your passion for Israeli culture.
