New Israeli Music Friday: 1.18.19

A roundup of five new Israeli songs released this week.

Some new Israeli songs we think you should know about. Be sure to listen for more brand new music on this week’s Israel Hour Radio podcast. Shabbat shalom from MyIsraeliMusic.com!

1. “Shlomi Pablo” – Ata Chaser Li

When I first saw the new single by “Shlomi Pablo”, I almost skipped right over it. Big deal…another artist I’d never heard of. Fortunately, I did a double take. This collaboration between Shlomi Shabbat and Pablo Rosenberg sounds great…and best of all, it APPEARS that they really like each other. Check it out today.

2. Ehud Banai – Zakuk Limchila

No sooner do we announce Ehud Banai’s upcoming US concert tour that we discover a brand new song from the legendary Israeli singer. It’s been a while! Ehud sounds exactly the same as he did 30 years ago. The pretty melody written by Ehud, lyrics written by his daughter Miriam and sweet music video combine beautifully to create a very memorable song about the “little things” in life.

3. Yonina – Lamdeni

Like most of the Jewish world, we’re in love with Yonina, the adorable couple who got their start singing beautiful duets in their living room in front of an iPhone. While they still do that today, they’ve also upgraded their production values a bit – and now produce GORGEOUS professional songs like this one, that literally took my breath away. A must-listen!

4. Eyal Golan – Ahava Rishona

Wasn’t Eyal Golan on our list last week? Oh well. Another day, another new Eyal Golan song. What more can I say, except that it’s almost guaranteed to be a hit. You know, ’cause it’s Eyal Golan.

5. Static & Ben-El, Eden Ben Zaken, Stephane Legar – Yassu

It’s already the biggest hit of the week, and quite possibly the year…so how can we leave it off our list? This all-star cast of Static & Ben-El, Eden Ben Zaken, and Stephane Legar – arguably the biggest names in Israeli music today – has got everyone’s attention, whether you’re a fan or not. So if you’re one of the three people who haven’t heard it yet, now’s a good a time as any.
