Keren Peles Presents a Stunning Photo Montage of Israeli Life Under Corona

The past two months have turned our lives upside down in just about every way possible. The Coronavirus pandemic has disrupted life worldwide in a very significant way – and Israel is no exception.

Israel’s efforts to fight COVID-19 have been praised around the world. Still, the pandemic took a large toll in Israel, and pushed its medical staff beyond their limits. Israelis also celebrated Holocaust Remembrance Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day, all under lockdown.

Using “Me’ever LaNahar” by Keren Peles and Ron Buchnik as a soundtrack, a new video serves as a photo essay depicting Israel’s past eight weeks. The stunning photos were all taken by photographer Ziv Koren.

There are photos of deserted streets, overcrowded hospitals, celebrations on apartment balconies, and IDF soldiers visiting military graves. The photos do an excellent job of helping us understand Corona’s toll on the people of Israel.

The video is depressing, optimistic, chilling, emotional, and stunning – all at the same time. May we all return to normal days soon.
