How can you not be in love with Jane Bordeaux? We’re longtime fans of the adorable Israeli country/bluegrass band, and especially of their lovable lead singer, Doron Talmon.

Each song is upbeat, quirky, and fun. Talmon’s sweet vocals and general mannerisms turn each Jane Bordeaux tune into an irresistible hit.

We featured the music of Jane Bordeaux on a recent edition of our daily Facebook show, My Israeli Music Live, and the reaction was unanimous. Jane is just plain fun, and a refreshing change from nearly everything else Israeli music has to offer.

But as any savvy musician would, Jane Bordeaux is always evolving – as evidenced by their new song “Isha Kasha” (A Difficult Woman). With words and lyrics by Doron herself, and collaborating with rapper “Echo”, the song and the accompanying video will make your day.

(Oh, and can we mention that Doron filmed the video while visibly pregnant? Somehow, that makes her even cooler.)

The song’s press release says it best. “Doron Talmon from Jane Bordeaux might be the only woman that can sing about herself as ‘a difficult woman’ – while causing you to smile, move to the beat, and nod in agreement,” it reads. “That might just be the magic of this extraordinary band.”
