Idan Raichel’s “Feker Libi: Quarantine Version” Will Brighten Your Day

Let’s face it…life in the era of Coronavirus can be pretty tough. For those of us who are Israeli music fans, however, the journey has been a lot more fun.

That’s because our favorite Israeli musicians have remained hard at work. They’ve been creating, entertaining, singing, and bringing us joy every step of the way. No live concerts? No problem! Israeli artists have been making plenty of music from home, and we couldn’t be happier.

Example #536: Idan Raichel has already performed countless concerts in his living room over the past two weeks. But today, he sat on his couch and demonstrated what it might sound like if he performed “Feker Libi”, Israel’s entry to Eurovision 2020.

Idan co-wrote the song with Doron Medalie, to be performed by Eden Alene at the Eurovision. Now that this year’s Eurovision has been cancelled, Eden will have a second chance in the 2021 contest.

While Eden Alene’s powerful voice helped us fall in love with the song initially, Idan’s mellow rendition offers a glimpse into the creative process of a very talented musician.
