A New Sing-Along Hebrew Song for Your Next Road Trip Through the Desert – by Sagiv Cohen and Tal Segev

Here at MyIsraeliMusic.com, we receive a lot of new Israeli songs each week. Unfortunately, most of it never gets heard.

But when a song makes me smile, I’m happy to do my best to make sure that my readers and listeners get to hear it.

Yesterday, I came across a new song called “Nesiah Tovah” (Have a good trip), by Sagiv Cohen and Tal Segev. The title sounded intriguing, so I clicked on it.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the song was one of those “feel-good” songs about Israel, about music, about our brave Israeli chayalim (soldiers), about taking a road trip, and about enjoying life’s journeys.

It’s the kind of song you’ll want to have handy for your next road trip…or at least to make your morning traffic a little more tolerable.

Here’s a rough translation of the lyrics:

A person works all his life
And does not always feel how they are going through
Sometimes it’s stuck and sometimes there are walls
You have to connect and go up

And the radio plays a great song
The broadcasters make me want to get up and dance

Have a good trip, tzaddikim (righteous ones)!
The whole country is on the go
Traffic flows to the heart
Have a good trip, Sabras!
Life is so precious
And respect the soldiers

Maybe we’ll get up, and wake up
Because there is – and will be – no other place
The song will not stop for us
[And neither will] all the tunes in the air

And the radio plays a great song
The broadcasters make me want to get up and dance

Have a good trip, tzaddikim (righteous ones)!
The whole country is on the go
Traffic flows to the heart
Have a good trip, Sabras!
Life is so precious
And respect the soldiers

And the radio plays a great song
The most beautiful songs in the Middle East
